Nashville, Tenn. Aug. 31, 2010… Adding to the stellar success of Phillips, Craig & Dean’s latest album, Fearless, the band’s most recent single “Great Are You Lord” reached the No. 1 spot at Billboard’s Christian Soft AC/INSPO marking the band’s 20th No. 1 single in their nearly 20 year career.
“20 No.1’s in almost 20 years is such a blessing,” comments member Randy Phillips. “We certainly thank radio for allowing our music to be heard. Thank you for trusting us for nearly two decades. We are overwhelmed with the fans and people across the country that have been so kind to us. Much has to do with amazing producers through the years, great writers, supportive record companies, hard working radio departments and tremendous management. Singing songs about Jesus Christ is the greatest privilege in the world.”
“Great Are You Lord” is the second No. 1 single off of Phillips, Craig & Dean’s 11th studio project titled Fearless which was released on INO Records in Aug. of 2009. The band’s mega-hit “Revelation Song” was the longest running single of 2009 spending a whopping 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian charts, and spent nearly a year in the top 10. Fearless also earned the band their first album GMA Dove Award win for “Inspirational Album of the Year” earlier this year. The record was also praised by media saying…
“The musical performances and production are cutting-edge… the best feature on this album is the performance of PC&D – they have a way of infusing the songs with an honest passion that connects as effectively as a live worship concert.” – Worship Leader
“The trio has nailed their niche and sound in this fantastic arrangement of worshipful lyrics, contemporary sound and pleasing harmonies, making it their best album to date.” – Advance Magazine
“If you had told me several years ago that some of the best executed modern rock of 2009 would be released by Phillips Craig and Dean, I would have personally signed your commitment papers. But....well, that is exactly what has happened. The beauty of the trio's new project, Fearless is its lack of pretense: They aren't trying to set the worship world on fire with their artistry, yet they are making seriously good worship music that is just as viable in the modern rock arena as in the church... Fearless finds the group at the height of their powers.” - Christian Musician
